Software Description & Scope
Cue is an AI prompting compiler layer that operates client-side inside supported web browsers. It compiles user natural language drafts into structured, production-grade instructions and routes them via direct browser calls to your designated AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter).
Cue provides local workflow tooling and does NOT operate proprietary foundation LLM hosting servers. Upstream inference availability is governed by your respective third-party provider agreements.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) & Provider Costs
Cue operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model:
- Direct Billing from AI Providers: Any API fees incurred by invoking third-party foundation models (e.g. OpenAI GPT-5, Anthropic Claude 5.5 Sonnet) are billed directly by those respective providers to your personal provider account.
- Key Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your personal API keys. Cue stores your keys strictly within your browser's sandboxed local storage (
chrome.storage.sync) and never transmits them to Cue servers. - Provider Availability: Cue is not liable for provider downtime, rate limits, latency spikes, or policy changes enacted by external LLM vendors.
Intellectual Property & Content Rights
Cue does not claim any intellectual property rights over the text, code, or prompts you compose. Furthermore, Cue does NOT store your prompts in any central repository or use your content to train machine learning models.
Subscriptions, Billing, & Cancellations
- Free & Guest Tiers: Cue offers a perpetual Free tier and Guest mode with core prompting capabilities without requiring payment.
- Cue Pro Tier: Pro upgrades provide advanced compiler capabilities (such as Scientific Mode, 30,000-character context memory, and priority multi-machine sync) for a recurring monthly or annual fee.
- Payment Processor: Billing is processed securely through Razorpay (supporting Cards, UPI, and PayPal for international users). Razorpay handles PCI-compliant processing, invoices, and payment execution.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time via the Customer Portal link in the Cue Dashboard. Upon cancellation, your Pro benefits remain active until the conclusion of your current billing period.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Cue for:
- Violating any local, national, or international law, regulation, or legal decree.
- Generating malicious code, exploits, denial-of-service tools, or malware.
- Harassing, defaming, threatening, or violating the privacy of third parties.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with Cue's proprietary compiler engine.
